WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION

March 3, 2025 — The City Government of Tandag officially kicked-off the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration, with the theme: "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas."
The event commenced with a holy mass and a motorcade, followed by the Women's Congress at the Gov. Vicente T. Pimentel, Jr. Memorial Gymnasium. Assistant City Prosecutor Allen L. Montenegro-Gasulas inspired attendees with her empowering speech focused on women's issues.
During her 2025 State of the Women Address, Mayor Roxanne C. Pimentel reaffirmed her unwavering support for all women in Tandag, particularly those most in need of government assistance and protection.
“My administration has consistently honored our commitment to implement programs and initiatives that directly transform the lives of women. As your Mayor, and as a woman, I prioritize the vulnerable yet resilient women of Tandag, ensuring that none are left behind. Kay sa Tandag City, importante kaw!"
Also present were Vice Mayor Eleanor D. Momo, City Councilors Hon. Gay Geraldine Giron-Tan and Hon. Rosario Ninfa Dumagan II, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ex-Officio Member and Barangay Telaje Punong Barangay Hon. Melanie Joy Momo, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO) Hershey L. Nuñez, and City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) Acting Head Mr. Baltazar Quijada.
The month-long celebration will showcase various programs and initiatives that emphasize the crucial role of women in community development, economic progress, and leadership.
