DAVAO CITY – Mati City will host the 2025 Tourism Congress Friday at the Sambuokan Hall, City Hall Compound to drive sustainable tourism development and foster industry collaboration.
Mayor Michelle Rabat emphasized the significance of the event, themed “Merging Aspirations for a Transformative and Inclusive Tourism Industry.”
“This congress is not just a gathering but a significant step towards ensuring that our tourism industry remains dynamic, inclusive, and transformative,” Rabat said in a statement Thursday.
The event will bring together key stakeholders, including tourism service providers, cultural representatives, government agencies, public utility providers, sports tourism associations, educational institutions, and youth organizations.
Participants will discuss critical topics for the industry’s growth, engage in knowledge-sharing, and explore strategic planning opportunities.
“With Mati City’s continuous efforts to position itself as a premier tourism destination, this congress is expected to pave the way for more innovative and collaborative initiatives in the industry,” Rabat added. (PNA)
