Official from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)addressed key issues during a press conference held on April 21 at Shacene Pension House, Tandag City. Among the topics discussed were the circulating photo of alleged election paraphernalia stored in a private residence and updates on the preparations made for the upcoming May 12 National and Local Elections.

Prior to the press conference, members of the media were given the opportunity to inspect the actual storage site at the Old Tandag Town Hall, a move by COMELEC to directly counter the misleading narrative that circulated online.

During the press conference, COMELEC Election Supervisor Riza Ann Donalyn C. Constantino emphasized that the viral photo claiming to show election materials stored in a private residence was not only false but also a recycled image taken out of context, deliberately used to mislead the public and create confusion ahead of the 2025 NLE.
