MANILA — The Department of Education has removed from office a controversial high school principal in Antique who went viral for ordering students to remove their togas during their graduation ceremony, Malacanang said Friday.

In the viral video, the principal was seen abruptly interrupting their school’s senior high school graduation ceremony as she instructed the graduating students to remove their togas, saying that this allegedly violates the DepEd’s “no collection” policy.
